307cc Battery Disconnection Procedure

To minimise the possibility of the BSi on the Peugeot 307cc corrupting its own software when reconnecting the vehicles battery, the BSI needs to be allowed to go into 'Sleep' mode before the battery is disconnected.

To safely disconnect the battery on the Peugeot 307cc follow the steps below:

1.  With the ignition ON, switch off all equipment, heater, stereo, interior lights etc, Disconnect any add-ons from the 12v accessory socket.  Also remove any diag equipment, or components plugged into the OBDII Socket.

2.  Exit vehicle, open the bonnet and close the doors leaving the drivers window open.

3.  Switch off the ignition through the drivers window and remove the key.

4. Wait a full 3 MINUTES before disconnecting the battery.

NOTES

ALWAYS disconnect any diagnostic equipment.
Do NOT operate any plips/key fobs from other vehicles or interfere with the vehicle in any way during the 3 minute wait. Opening doors or boot, or even just reaching in through the window could prevent the BSi going to sleep.

Peugeot 307 WRC

Peugeot 307 WRC is a rally car which competed in the World Rally Championship for only two seasons (2004, 2005) as a factory entry, scoring three WRC wins. The rally version of the Peugeot 307 CC was extensively modified. A retractable hard top has been welded and fixed, to accommodate a safety roll cage inside a car. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine, which produced 180 hp in a road-legal car, was pumped up to 300 hp.
