307cc Front Electric Window Calibration

After servicing front electric window parts, or sometimes after low battery conditions etc., the front electric windows on the Peugeot 307cc will lose it's settings and need to be re-calibrated. Symptoms of a window requiring re-calibration could be a lack  of 'short drop' operation or the auto open/close feature failing to operate correctly.

To calibrate the front Electric Windows on the Peugeot 307cc follow the steps below:

1.  Sit in the driver's seat and close all doors, then turn IGN On.

2.  IMPORTANT The instructions below are the same for both sides however both windows should be programmed using the drivers side door controls.

3.  Fully lower the window using the FIRST position on the switch and then hold the switch for a further 2 SECONDS before re;ease the switch.

4.  Using the FIRST position on the switch, raise the window a few inches at a time until fully closed and again hold the button for a further 2 SECONDS and then release.

5.  Immediately press the SECOND position on the switch to auto open the window.

6.  Once fully open, use the SECOND position on the switch to auto close the window.

7.  Turn IGN Off.

Window calibration is now complete.

NOTES:

You should check operation of 'short drop' and other window features to confirm successful calibration.  'Short drop' is the system whereby the window drops slightly to allow it to clear the upper weather strip when touching the door handle to open the door.

If the short drop operates when you open the door from the inside, but not from the outside, it is likely the door handle sensor is faulty.

On one or two occasions, when replacing a door electric window motor after service, i have had to flip the orientation of the window when the motor is installed, for example; If the motor was installed with the window open it was necessary to open the window, remove the motor, manually close the window and then re-attach the motor (and vice-versa).  And then re-calibrate.

If a window starts to close but then stops and opens a few inches, try with the door open.  If the window closes ok with the door open then it is most likely jamming up against the rear window, causing the 'obstruction' safety feature to engage. This is common after replacing the Window Regulator.  Adjust the Window Regulator to change the windows angle against the rear window by loosening the nut located on the lower rear edge of the Window Regulator and pulling the bottom of the regulator towards you (to loosen against rear window) or away from you (to tighten against rear window). Once the correct angle is obtained tighten the nut on the regulator.

Peugeot 307 WRC

Peugeot 307 WRC is a rally car which competed in the World Rally Championship for only two seasons (2004, 2005) as a factory entry, scoring three WRC wins. The rally version of the Peugeot 307 CC was extensively modified. A retractable hard top has been welded and fixed, to accommodate a safety roll cage inside a car. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine, which produced 180 hp in a road-legal car, was pumped up to 300 hp.
